aTV Flash for Apple TV Is Now Downloadable

AppleCore LLC is selling a new version of aTV Flash; instead of buying a thumb drive, now you download the software and put it on a drive yourself. Cheaper as a result.

aTV claims to add a slew of new capabilities to the Apple TV without opening the box—play more video formats via Perian, Flip4Mac, and others; browse the web; play ripped DVDs without conversion…all powered by open-source software hacks.

I’ll pick one up after they get a version that’s compatible with the Apple TV 2.1 software. You can get a lifetime upgrade option when you purchase, too!
