Since we can’t party in person…

UPDATE on May 5, 2020: Feel free to upload finished video clips to me via Dropbox instead of messaging to hopefully make this even easier!

I can’t believe the outpouring of support for the parade in celebration of Geitra’s graduation! This will be a great chance for her to see family, colleagues, and friends during these challenging times. If you need to RSVP, you can still do that by clicking this link.

I’m hoping you’ll join our family in one other thing to help make this special — a replacement for the conversations that she would have had with you at an in-person party. To do this, I’m asking that anyone who is willing record a short video clip using their smartphone to send Geitra your best wishes and congratulations. It doesn’t need to be fancy, and it doesn’t need to be long — just a clip to say whatever you want, with a good headshot like you might see on a video chat. I’m going to edit all the clips together into a single movie that I’ll share with Geitra after the parade is over.

Courtesy of Pastor Jason and Jenn Duley at Galilee UMC, here’s an example for inspiration:

If you’re willing and able to do this, record the video to your phone and then send it to me (not Geitra!).

UPDATE, 5/3: The easiest way to get this to me might is to upload it via Dropbox directly from your phone’s web browser.

If you use an iPhone, you can also text me your recorded video at 202-257-5934 or share via email at graduation@scottierocket.com. For Android users, the Dropbox upload method is the best thing to use. That’s the best way to make sure I get a high quality video – and iPhone users can try that, too!

It doesn’t matter if you do landscape (wide) or portrait (tall) format for your video—make it work for you.

Please send me any videos by the end of Tuesday, May 5th — that will give me the time I need to edit everything together.

Thanks again to everyone for being so wonderful and supportive of Geitra as she reaches this wonderful milestone in her ministry journey!
